    About Maitri Multi Media:

    Maitri Multi Media is an Art, Music, and Gaming-based Day Program for adults with intellectual disabilities. We are dedicated to incorporating a variety of art forms and mediums to encourage increased communication, coping, and expression skills. Our mission is to build independence and a sense of community through individualized and group creative projects within our program and the broader community.

    We utilize a variety of software and hardware tools—including Ableton Live, Ableton Push, Splice, iMovie, Cricut, and more—to help our participants realize their creative goals. Our program also features game-based approaches, including dedicated spaces for Dungeons & Dragons and retro gaming.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking creative, driven, and caring Direct Support Professionals to supervise and encourage participants in engaging activities both on-site and within the community. Our goal is to maintain a safe environment for our participants, their peers, ourselves, and the community at large.

    Key Job Responsibilities:

    • Participant Supervision: Monitor and observe participants at all times to ensure safety and prevent harmful behaviors.

    • Activity Facilitation: Engage participants in creative projects, ranging from guiding structured activities to supporting participants in self directed creative processes while providing guidance as needed.

    • Documentation: Complete daily documentation and tracking of participant activities and progress.

    • Life Skills Coaching: Teach problem-solving, conflict resolution, and essential life skills.

    • Transportation: Daily transport of participants to and from the day program and daily community activities. Mileage reimbursement is provided when using personal vehicle.

    • Individualized Support: Work with participants at their own pace, considering developmental needs to achieve positive outcomes.

    • Behavioral Management: Utilize participants' historical information, behavior plans, and recurring trends to support goal achievement.

    • Group Facilitation: Lead group discussions and document engagement effectively.

    • Program Development: Develop and implement new projects, ideas, and tasks to enhance participant engagement.

    • Safety Maintenance: Ensure a safe environment for all participants and staff.

    • Community Engagement: Planning, facilitating, and encouraging participants to engage with and build relationships within the community.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or GED required.

    • Experience: Experience working in mental health is preferred.

    • Licenses:

    ◦ Valid driver's license.

    ◦ Dependable vehicle with current insurance & registration (required for transporting clients).

    • Skills:

    ◦ Compassionate with strong boundary-setting abilities.

    ◦ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ◦ Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented.

    ◦ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle a high volume of requests effectively.

    ◦ Initiative, flexibility, and adaptability in various situations.

    Additional Information:

    • Training Provided: More Maitri, Inc. will provide all Colorado state-required training for this position, including QMAP, CPR/First Aid, and CPI certifications.

    • Transportation Requirement: This position requires transporting clients; therefore, a valid driver's license and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle are mandatory. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

    • Background check Requirement: Candidates must be able to pass a background check, including a review of criminal history with no violent offenses, and a driving records check with no DUIs within the past two years.
