    Responsibilities:

    • Create weekly menu incorporating healthy ingredients

    • When planning menu, keep ingredients on-hand in mind to avoid waste

    • Create weekly HEB order

    • Serve meals on time for breakfast, lunch & afternoon snack

    • Clean up after meals (clean dishes, wipe counters, stove tops, wall surfaces if needed)

    • Keep kitchen clean

    • Keep pantry food sealed to avoid pests

    • Maintain daily sanitation logs

    • Know any allergies in the center & ensure those allergens are not given to those people

    • Follow health department guidelines

    • Try to incorporate weekly themes into menu descriptions (especially fun weeks)

    • Must be a team player / flexible to help where needed

    • Help with classroom transitions, potty breaks, lunch breaks if needed

    • Be able to sub in classroom for any age

    • Previous work in childcare a plus

    • Manage inventory control and ordering of supplies

    • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards

    • Collaborate with management to develop menus and specials

    • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a leadership role in a kitchen environment

    • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and production techniques

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Knowledge of posting to social media

    • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and ability to manage food costs

    • Excellent time management skills

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word

    • Ability to read/write English; good grammar & spelling

    • Previous experience working in child care
