Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic Daycare Teaching Assistant to join our team! As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. Work hours 8:45am thru 3:15 pm Monday thru Friday

To be successful as a teachers assistant, you should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression.

Assisting lead teacher with lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.

Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them.

Mediating conflict between students.

Modeling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.

Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.

Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives.

Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.

Attending parent and staff meetings.

Teachers Assistant Requirements:

18 years of age or older

Clear criminal record.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting.

Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Warm, approachable disposition.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

A passion for early childhood development.
