As a Conveyor Maintenance Technician, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of conveyor systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preventive maintenance of conveyor components, troubleshooting technical issues, performing restorative procedures, and responding to break-down calls in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular inspections of conveyor systems to identify potential faults and perform preemptive maintenance.
2. Respond to break-downs and emergency calls quickly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
3. Troubleshoot and repair conveyor components, including motors, gears, switches, and other electrical or mechanical parts.
4. Monitor conveyor operations closely, rectifying any issues promptly to ensure smooth workflow.
5. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to cut back on incidents and accidents.
6. Document maintenance activities and safety precautions on all equipment worked on.
7. Coordinate with other team members to solve complex mechanical or technical issues associated with the conveyor systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience in conveyor maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, especially related to conveyor systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and diagrams.
- Knowledge of standard safety procedures and regulations.
