They are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Deal Desk Pricing Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing pricing strategies, ensuring deal profitability, and supporting the sales team in structuring and closing complex deals. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure pricing consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth through strategic pricing & data driven decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1\. Pricing Strategy & Analysis:
a. Develop and maintain pricing models to support sales strategies and maximize profitability.
b. Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and customer behavior to recommend pricing adjustments.
c. Evaluate deal structures, discounts, and special pricing requests to ensure alignment with company goals.
2\. Deal Support:
a. Act as a trusted advisor to the sales team, providing guidance on pricing, contract terms, and deal structuring.
b. Review and approve non-standard pricing requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies and margin targets.
c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve pricing-related issues and streamline deal processes.
3\. Process Improvement:
a. Identify opportunities to improve deal desk processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
b. Develop and maintain pricing playbooks, guidelines, and training materials for the sales team.
c. Develop, Implement and enforce pricing policies and approval workflows.
4\. Reporting & Insights:
a. Generate regular reports on deal performance, pricing trends, and discounting patterns.
b. Provide actionable insights to leadership on pricing strategies and their impact on revenue and profitability. Monitor and report on key metrics such as win rates, deal velocity, and margin performance.
5\. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
a. Partner with the sales team and logistics team to ensure accurate revenue recognition and forecasting.
b. Work with Legal to ensure contract terms align with pricing and business objectives.
c. Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to align pricing with product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
