    Dealer Trade Network is a Louisville-based organization that provides inventory solutions to new car dealers. We’ve formalized the new car wholesale trading market, digitizing transactions and technologies that assist with inventory efficiency optimization for their floor plans. Our proprietary solutions make it easier and more convenient for dealerships to wholesale inventory nationwide.

    JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    With DTN experiencing growth, we aim to find new sales talent to join our team. To be successful as an inventory consultant, you should be up-to-date with all the latest developments in the motor vehicle industry but mostly have a passion for sales. You should be able to identify a customer's needs, recognize their buying signals, and close the deal without being aggressive. 

    The Inventory Consultant is responsible for speaking with clients and potential customers to help them learn about the services provided by DTN. Their duties include meeting with clients, explaining how the company’s products or services function, and providing training for the product or service. 

    • Respond to incoming leads primarily by phone and email. 
    • Utilizes all available resources to identify and engage dealerships looking for, or selling, inventory.   
    • Set up appointments with potential dealerships to discuss possible car deals or options when available.  
    • Executes the DTN sales process as trained to ensure proper sales processing. 
    • Manage all required documentation according to the sales process for all sales.
    • Participate as a contributing member of the overall sales team by maintaining a professional working relationship with coworkers and clients. 
    • Stay current with the latest auto make/models/trim details as part of ongoing development and training.

    SPECIAL SKILLS

    • Is coachable and willing to learn.
    • Strong sales acumen (phone and email specifically)
    • Ability to write and speak effectively and professionally
    • Technical Acumen: typing, using software, general navigation of computers, email, etc.)
    • Extremely self-motivated
    • Negotiating skills

    PAY DETAIL

    • $15/hr for (6) six weeks of training with full-time hours
    • 100 % Commission: 28.5% total commission on each deal
      • 14.25% for the buyer

      • 14.25% for the seller

    CLASSIFICATION & HOURS

    • Full-Time (35+ hours/wk), M-F: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • Classified as Non-Exempt, Hourly

    EXPERIENCE

    • Some sales experience is preferred but not required

    EDUCATION

    • High School, Undergraduate degree preferred

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 1-2 years of sales experience required, preferably in the automotive industry
