We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of governmental accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. Dealership experience preferred!

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain employee records related to payroll, including journal entries, debits, and credits.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits.
• Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain employee records in KPA online system.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
• Proficiency in payroll processing
• Experience with HR software, particularly KPA
• Familiarity with governmental accounting practices
• Knowledge of payroll systems such as CDK Payroll Plus
• Excellent data entry and analysis skills
• Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23 to $30 per hour based on experience.
