    Overview:

    Powersports of Modesto, a leading powersports dealership, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest quality of customer care and service operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to eventually expand responsibilities to include both the service and parts departments, with the end goal of becoming a Fixed Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing service operations, with a particular focus on Powersports (Motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.), and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. As the Service Manager, you will be a key player in providing outstanding customer experience, leading a talented service team, and driving the department’s success while working toward a leadership role in fixed operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership: Lead and manage the service department, promoting a positive, team-oriented culture and ensuring the delivery of top-notch service to our customers.

    Service Operations: Oversee daily operations within the service department, ensuring efficient workflow, meeting service goals, and maintaining a high standard of quality in all work performed.

    Customer Experience: Address service concerns, foster strong relationships with customers, and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering timely, quality repairs and maintenance services.

    Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a skilled team of service technicians, ensuring they have the tools and training to perform at their best.

    Performance Monitoring: Track service department performance against established goals, ensuring efficient turnaround times, accurate work orders, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve service department processes to drive operational efficiency, minimize service delays, and enhance customer satisfaction.

    Inventory Management: Ensure the service department is stocked with the necessary parts and tools to complete repairs in a timely manner.

    Opportunity for Growth: Oversee both service and parts departments, with the goal of preparing for a transition to Fixed Operations Manager. Take on additional responsibilities as you grow into a broader leadership role.

    Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the service department complies with all manufacturers and regulatory standards.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience in a service management role within a dealership, with a solid background in powersports (Motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.).

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of service technicians and staff.

    Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities.

    Knowledge of service repair processes, diagnostic procedures, and service department workflows.

    Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

    Knowledge of dealership systems and service department software; familiarity with Lightspeed DMS a plus.

    Ability to manage departmental budgets, including overseeing labor costs, parts inventory, and achieving profitability targets.

    Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

    Desire for growth, with the goal of advancing to Fixed Operations Manager in the future.
