Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee our automotive service and detail department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a team of service technicians and detail employees.
Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the service and detail department, ensuring efficient workflow processes are utilized and providing leadership to maximize productivity.
Supervise and train service technicians and detail employees.
Improve utilization of ShopKey and improve related processes and reporting including service activity profitability reporting and inventory management.
Responsible for organization of shop.
Manage the flow of service department paperwork, including manuals, invoices, repair orders, and maintenance records
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with the sales team and other departments.
Contribute to goal setting for employees and lead quarterly performance review discussions with employees.
Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required bachelor’s degree preferred
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, automotive repair and vehicle maintenance practices.
Experience in customer service is preferred.
Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a diverse team of service technicians and detail employees.
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and staff alike.
