At Uncommon Schools, our Deans of Curriculum & Instruction (DCIs) are school leaders focused on supporting teachers and instructional leaders to deliver the most rigorous and joyful academic experience for our students that leads to exceptional academic gains. DCIs play a central role in the success of their school and work closely with their Principal and fellow DCIs across Uncommon in driving student achievement and teacher development. DCIs' responsibilities include the following:

Compensation for this position: Most candidates who meet job description requirements will receive an offer of $60,000 - $64,1000. The starting compensation for this role is between $60,000 and $74,700. The starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. To receive an offer at the top of the range, candidates will need significant experience in a directly aligned role. Because we value staff tenure in a role, we do not currently cap salary ranges for current staff members.
