Deburr Operator
Position Overview:
The Deburr Operator performs various tasks under direct supervision and on-the-job training for a minimum of six months. This role involves completing deburr operations as per work order requirements, managing related paperwork, and maintaining a clean work area following 5S standards. The operator will support all areas of the shop as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute deburring operations based on work order specifications.
- Accurately complete paperwork tied to job functions and work instructions.
- Assist in multiple shop areas as directed by supervision.
- Consistently uphold cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively.
- Vision requirements: near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes (corrected or uncorrected).
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and using hand-held measuring tools simultaneously.
- Basic problem-solving skills to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Experience and Specialized Skills:
- 2-5 years of related experience, with hands-on exposure to:
- Height gages
- Digital calipers
- Pi tapes
- Micrometers
- Polishing/deburring tools
- Bench grinders, bead blasters, disc sanders, and belt sanders
Physical Requirements:
- Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- The work environment typically has moderate noise levels.
