Pontoon Saloon, Nashville’s premier passenger vessel operation, is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Deckhands. This role is ideal for those who love boating, interacting with people, and working in a fast-paced environment.

    Role Overview:

    As a Deckhand, you will be a key part of our onboard operations, ensuring the vessel is safe, clean, and ready to host guests for memorable cruises. You’ll assist the captain, engage with guests, and help create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety and Preparation: Work alongside the captain to prepare the boat for cruises, including loading supplies such as ice, alcohol, fuel, and merchandise. Conduct safety checks and ensure the vessel is guest-ready.

    Guest Engagement: Welcome passengers with enthusiasm, assist with boarding, and deliver a clear and engaging safety briefing.

    Cruise Operations: Support the captain during docking and disembarking, manage vessel cleanliness during and between cruises, and address any guest needs or concerns.

    Entertainment Support: Ensure the music and entertainment flow align with the energy of the group. Be comfortable using a microphone to make announcements or provide instructions.

    Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with crew members and the management team to ensure smooth cruise operations.

    Qualifications:

    At least 18 years old.

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

    Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

    Experience in or around boats is a plus but not required.

    Positive, cooperative attitude and ability to work unsupervised.

    If hired, you must obtain a TABC server permit and AED/CPR certification.

    Pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test (per USCG regulations).
