We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our security operations, ensuring the safety and security of our organization, employees, and assets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of security protocols and procedures. The Security Operations Manager will work closely with the client as a liaison, and daily oversight of the 24 | 7 | 365 Security staff.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in security management, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Key responsibilities include managing security personnel. The Security Operations Manager will also be responsible for developing and delivering security training programs. This is a critical role that requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all security operations and personnel for KRE Security on site.
Work with the client to assist in development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular assessments of security staff.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
Ensure compliance with all KRE regulations and standards.
Develop and deliver security training programs, as requested by Senior Management or Client.
Prepare and present security reports to senior management.
Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents.
Implement and maintain access control systems.
Ensure the physical security of all client facilities.
Lead and mentor security staff.
Ensure the protection of sensitive and confidential information.
Collaborate with Department of Public Safety Director and team to address security concerns.
Requirements
Associate's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, Law Enforcement or military.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
In-depth knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies.
Experience with access control systems.
Ability to develop and implement security policies.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team.
Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
The candidate selected for this role will be on a dedicated site to oversee the team. You will be the first point of contact for guards when they have questions or concerns, scheduling needs, or there are disciplinary needs. You will be supported by Senior Management in your role. You will be trained on all aspects of how the university operates and the expectation. You will be the eyes and ears of KRE.
This role will operate on a 40 hour work week with occasional overtime, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, with emergency coverage at other times to include potential weekends or special events on campus when management oversight is needed.
