    We cater hundreds of weddings per year and are in need of Event Captains.

    Operation Highlights

    The system is easy to learn, and we have a great training program.

    The events are very consistent and adequately staffed.

    Job Details

    $22 to $27/hour and tips.

    Most events are on Saturdays between 12:00pm and 12:00am.

    Most shifts are 8-11 hours each.

    Approx. 80 shifts per year available to work (40 Saturdays, 40 other days)

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership: Supervise and lead catering staff during events, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear and executed effectively.

    Event Setup and Coordination: Coordinate with event planners and clients to determine setup requirements, including table arrangements, decorations, and equipment needs.

    Service Delivery: Ensure high-quality food and beverage service during events, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

    Client Interaction: Interact with clients during events to ensure their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

    Quality Control: Monitor food presentation, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards at all times.

    Problem Solving: Address any issues or concerns that arise during events promptly and professionally.

    Inventory Management: Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper storage.

    Training and Development: Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistent service excellence.

    Requirements:

    Experience: Proven experience in event catering or hospitality management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.

    Excellent leadership and communication skills.

    Strong organizational and time management abilities.

    Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift 40 pounds.
