Job Summary: As a Peer Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to provide support and mentorship to a 26-year-old male on the autistic spectrum who has transitioned into his own apartment for the first time. Your role is essential in helping him increase his independence and engagement in community activities. You will be assisting with community activities, apartment chores, and activities of daily living (ADL). Additionally, you will explore new preferred activities and potential employment opportunities, promoting a fulfilling and inclusive lifestyle.
Available Shifts:
The starting salary for this position ranges from $25 to $28 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. Plus mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
Minimum of two years of experience working with autistic individuals, demonstrating a solid understanding of their needs and challenges. Proficiency in implementing behavior support plans and taking data to monitor progress. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in human services, NADD certification, or RBT certification is required, indicating your educational background and expertise in the field. Willingness and physical ability to participate in planned activities, which may include swimming or other physical pursuits if needed. Job Type: This position is available for both Full Time and Part Time candidates, providing flexibility in working hours.
