Key Responsibilities:
-Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding deli products.-Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, following safety and sanitation guidelines.-Product Display: Maintain appealing and organized product displays, ensuring freshness and quality of all items offered in the deli.-Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, rotating products, and minimizing waste.-Housekeeping: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.-Sales Support: Operate the cash register, process customer orders, and assist with up-selling and promoting deli specials.-Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies related to food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service environment is a plus, but not required.- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
