To always assist in providing exceptional delivery service by accurately compiling and delivering orders to customers homes or businesses. The delivery driver works under the Front of the House Managers general direction. The driver is responsible for delivering all Grotto Pizza menu items to customers promptly, courteously, and efficiently. These duties are performed in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures adopted by Grotto Pizza and with Federal, state, and local laws.

Ensure accuracy of all assigned delivery orders including proper methods of payment.

Deliver menu items to customers in the local area in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

Collect payment due from delivery customers, give proper change, and keep delivery bank secure at all times.

Assist in answering telephones, entering orders into the POS system, and/or transferring calls to the appropriate personnel.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, including store-specific opening, closing, and side work procedures.

Qualifications: Requirements

Education: Some secondary education. Experience: Excellent driving record for the last two consecutive years. Age: Must be 18 years old to operate a personal vehicle. Other: Must meet Grotto Pizza vehicle insurance guidelines.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and professionally.

Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and with all restaurant team members.

Ability to use a standard business telephone professionally.

Ability to count money and give correct change.

Ability to read.

Ability to understand verbal and written driving directions.

Basic computer operating skills.

Basic writing skills.

Ability to speak English fluently.

Ability to read a map.

Must have a cell phone during working hours.
