• De-escalate students who demonstrate behavioral challenges
• Assist classroom teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, and material development
• Track student progress throughout the day, using charts or graphics when necessary
• Empower students with strategies that enhance their strengths
• Provide an encouraging and supportive presence to students
• Monitor the classroom to minimize distractions and disruptions
• Help teacher facilitate technology in the classroom when necessary REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Associate's degree in child development or related field preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children who demonstrate behavioral challenges and/or have special needs including autism or medical fragility
• Willingness to complete PMT (restraint) training
• Fingerprint background check ADVANTAGES
