They are looking for a talented DeltaV Controls Programmer Specialist for their facilities in West Texas and Corpus Christi, Texas area. You can work remote, but will need to live either commutable to one of the facilities or near a major airport (ideally Texas). You will work on developing and upgrading installing, starting up and field commissioning of the control systems.

The ideal candidate that will be successful in this role will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning DeltaV control systems. You should have a deep understanding of process control principles, experience working with DeltaV hardware and software, and the ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain DeltaV control systems for various projects that the company is executing.
- Work with the company to work on their control system requirements and develop technical specifications for DeltaV control systems.
- Develop control strategies, control narratives, and create functional design specifications based on customer requirements.
- Program DeltaV systems including the configuration of controllers, operator interfaces, and communication networks.
- Participate in testing and commissioning activities, including loop testing, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and provide support for DeltaV control systems in the field.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to deliver integrated solutions to our clients.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing programming, testing, and commissioning DeltaV control systems including configurations and graphics
- In-depth knowledge of process control principles and applications including loop tuning.
- Strong programming skills in DeltaV hardware and software including DeltaV Explorer, DeltaV Control Studio, and DeltaV Operate.
- Experience with control system networking and communication protocols including OPC, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with other brands like Allen-Bradley or Honeywell is helpful but not a substitute for DeltaV experience.
- Completion of Emerson training programs for DeltaV would be a big plus.
