    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    This role manages all facets of sales forecasting for Value Added products by driving to and maintaining consensus forecasts in Logility for the short-term daily demand sensing (DS) and long-term weekly demand planning (DP). Additionally, this role is responsible for developing the team to become adept users in the tools and deliver optimal forecast results. This subject matter expert will guide this process through the business units to ensure both sales and operations teams are aligned with the demand plan. This role implements forecasting processes including design, procedures, responsibilities, and metrics.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

    • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert/Super User of the Logility DP/DS modules, including the training and continued development of the Sales Forecasting Team with this tool.

    • Lead the demand review process to develop an accurate consensus demand forecast at the appropriate levels and publish the 6wk/3yr DP Forecast weekly and Revenue Forecast monthly. This includes interactions with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service to align on risks, opportunities and assumptions.

    • Provide support for the manufacturing planning team to develop daily/weekly schedules.

    • Drive best in class demand management processes referencing experience, subject matter expertise, and industry best practices.

    • Develop demand metrics and assist in improving forecast accuracy and eliminating bias.

    • Work closely with and support the Supply Planning team creating alignment across the organization.

    • Use and develop relevant reports and alerts to focus on areas that have issues that need to be addressed and to improve the process.

    • Coordinate / maintain system master data which supports the demand planning processes for both the sales and operations teams.

    • Monitor the performance of the process and continually improve insightfulness of output, efficiency of review, and accuracy of content.

    • Provide training of demand management processes and tools as needed.

    • Support the budget process.

    • Back up other Demand Managers and Supply Planners as needed.

    Required Skills

    ** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:**

    • 5 years of experience required in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales, Operations and Inventory Planning (SIOP), or Supply Chain in complicated regional environments

    • Proven ability to lead through influence

    • Ability to articulate the demand based on different business scenarios (launches, capacity expansion, etc.)

    • Proficiency in Microsoft, Logility, BI tools (SAP BI, Power BI, etc.)

    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

    • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment

    • Must possess Intermediate or better PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and email programs such as Microsoft Outlook

    PHYSIC _ AL REQUIREMENTS:_

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear.

    • The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs.

    WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work beyond regular business hours, weekends, rotating shifts preferred/required.

    • Flexibility to work varied hours.

    • Ability to travel – up to 25% required.

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with major in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Marketing or Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience as determined by management.

    • Specialties in Supply Chain (APICs or similar), Project Management (PMP), or Lean 6 Sigma are a plus.

    PAY RATE:

    • $116,000 - $130,000 Annually
