Teach dental assistant curriculum
Prepare lesson plans and submit to the Administrator for review.
Prepare for class and organize lecture materials to be distributed to students
Organize and present subject matter in a meaningful way to students.
Evaluate student progress and report any concerns to the Administrator in a timely manner.
Evaluate students on professionalism including but not limited to appearance, attitude, and interactions with other students.
Maintain student records, grades, and attendance.
Maintain cleanliness and orderly of the classroom and lab environments.
Communication grade work documentation to students in a timely manner.
Be current on standards and regulations related to dental assisting practices.
Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled.
Assist in inventory, ordering of supplies, lab equipment maintenance and other materials as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Administrator.
Experience and Qualifications
3-5 years dental assisting experience
Current RDA license
Current BLS for Healthcare Provide (AHA) card
Strong communication skills
Previous classroom instructional experience is preferred
