We are currently seeking a Call Center Specialist to infuse new energy into our Call Center/Front Desk team. Our Gateway Plaza location in Patchogue, NY is a welcoming and warm environment, intentionally designed to promote collaboration and foster creativity. Training! We will train you to become a great Patient Coordinator and our (very unique) Global Training program allows you to see how/what all departments do to support you in your role. Some of our Call Center Specialists have moved into roles as Front Desk Team Leads, Hygiene Coordinators, Call Center Team Leads, Patient Coordinators and even Practice Administrators.
We give plenty of support and we’re with you every step of the way! You start your BDC journey with a 15 day Global Training and your own Ambassador to walk you through it all. Our intention during the beginning days is to introduce you to BDC's entire service, culture mindset and give you customized, and individualized training needed to master your role as a Call Center Specialist.

Our Call Center department is very busy so we need someone who is:

We expect you to be personally responsible for being on-time and present for every shift you work and always willing to go the extra mile for our patients!
Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) would be helpful in setting you up for success, but not mandatory. Ability and open to learn our dental software.
Here’s an example of what a Call Center Specialist might do in a day:
Answer the call by the second ring using our phone scripts.
Accurately getting patient's information and entering this information as needed to the appointment and patient file.
Ascertain whether the caller is a new or existing patient within the Practices.
If caller has a question about Insurance acceptance, encourage/direct them to email our Insurance department for a complimentary benefits check.
If caller is a new patient, email the caller our NP paperwork to expedite their upcoming visit time.
When we knowingly do not work with a caller's insurance company, offer our New Patient visit special offer, and briefly explain our Dental Savings Plan benefits.
Ability to respond to live chats or website leads as they may come through during the day.
Comfortable with keeping up to date with email communications as the day goes on.
Professionally being able to hold space for anxious patients during their call, as well as sharing that our Practice is the best for their dental care needs.
Schedule all patients following our scheduling templates.
Understand and able to use our phone technology properly.
Being able to answer questions that the callers ask, or referring to specific Providers and team members that may be able to help.
Comfortable asking callers to describe their emergency and properly documenting in the notes for the Providers to refer to.
Mentoring new team members when comfortable and can create value.
Comfortable to ask a happy patient to share their feedback online in a review, or refer a friend to the Practice if they know anyone looking for a new dental home. Proudly sharing our service with others.
Work collaboratively with the entire Practice to meet or exceed monthly goals so all can receive their check exercise bonus!
Generate and review reports, when directed.
We're looking for someone who has:
3 or more years experience in a dental front desk position or call center.
Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays. Most Call Center Specialists work every other Saturday.
Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced Practice.
Excellent attention to detail and high follow through.
A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude. Collaborative and comfortable in communications.
Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability work with a diverse group of people.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish welcomed.
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
College degree optional

Competitive Compensation: Earn $20 to $25 per hour, reflective of your skills and dedication.

Monthly team bonus opportunities are extended. Most benefits start after your probationary period of 90 days.
