Qualifications of Dental Hygienist:

• Must have certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the State of California.
• Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
• Dental radiology certification and anesthesia certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Pharmacy Tech services.

Work Details for Dental Hygienist:

• Location: San Pedro, CA
• Status: Contract
• Shift: Monday through Friday (6:00am – 2:30pmPST)

Key Duties of Dental Hygienist: #IND

• Provide dental prophylaxis on adults in custody who are referred by the dental staff.
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient.
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff.
• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff
