    Job Summary

    We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least two years of experience.     Responsibilities

    Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

    Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

    Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories

    Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories

    Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection

    Provide scaling and root planing with use of local anesthetic and N2O as needed

    Provide periodontal maintenance, polish and apply fluoride treatments

    Use of local antibiotic treatment and irrigation.

    Maintain digital records and follow HIPAA privacy guidelines

    Teach good oral hygiene techniques

    Create dental impressions if needed

    Take x-rays

    Assist dentist during procedures and exams

    Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

    Qualifications

    Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred

    Current Dental Hygienist licensure

    Licensure to provide local anesthetic and N2O

    At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene

    Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines

    Ability to work well with others

    Excellent communication and customer service skills
