Qualifications: Bi-lingual English/Spanish

Minimum-Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license

Must have a current/active CPR certificate

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of dental terminology

Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices

Skills in using dental instruments and equipment and performing prophylaxis and scaling and root planning

Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques,

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to manage time, so can adequately treat patients but still treat the number of patients needed and in a timely manner

Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants, and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
