    Job Summary

    We are looking for a competent Dental Office Receptionist to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the Dental Office. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication, and computer skills, and is capable of multitasking.

    Responsibilities

    Assist clients with paperwork, including consent forms

    Maintain a clean and inviting environment

    Provide general customer service and attend to the needs of customers throughout their services

    Organize office and assist Dentist and Dental Staff in ways that optimize procedures

    Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner

    Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information

    Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages

    Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues

    Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies

    Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues

    Perform receptionist duties when needed

    Answer phone calls and schedule appointments

    Qualifications

    Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred

    Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service

    Strong work ethic and positive attitude

    Excellent multi-tasking skills

    Proven experience as a Dental Office Assistant/Receptionist, or in another relevant administrative role

    Knowledge of computer systems (Dental software Dentrix)

    Working knowledge of Dental Office equipment

    Thorough understanding of office management procedures

    Excellent organizational and time management skills

    Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both face to face and by phone)
