Job description
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the dental office's scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Assist with billing and payment collection
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide administrative support to the dental office staff as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in dental office systems and software, such as Eaglesoft, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling patient inquiries over the phone
- Experience with medical records management and maintaining accurate documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
