    Job description

    Referral Coordination Team (RTC) Registered Nurses for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Eastern Colorado Healthcare Service.
    Location: Aurora, CO
    Allmed Staffing is seeking Referral Coordination Team (RTC) Registered Nurses to provide a wide range of nursing services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting, or exceeding currently recognized national standards Looking for a June/July start depending on background and credentialing.

    VA Business Hours: VA business hours/hours of operation are 0730 – 1730, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.

    Registered Nurses (RNs). Contract RNs shall have:

    Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

    A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.

    A minimum of two (2) years direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.

    Current Basic Life Support certification.

    A current CV which identifies the provider’s education and professional qualifications commensurate with the position or specialty for which they are being offered to perform.

    Referral Coordination Team (RTC) Registered Nurses:

    Triage specialty consults for clinical appropriateness & completeness within the National RCI Standards for coordinated care.

    Communicate with veterans on their health care options via phone calls to determine receiving care at VA facility or through the community eligible providers so the veterans can make informed decisions on how/when/where to receive specialty care if they are eligible for CC.

    Provide clinical knowledge to the veterans and act as a clinical resource to multidisciplinary staff (MDs, LIPs, SW, HAS, etc.) within our VISN19 and outside the VISN.

    Collaborate with CACs to rebuild/modify consult templates.


    Serve as a liaison to both internal staff and CC staff during the consult process.


    Serves as liaison to the ordering provider and specialty care services RCI is implemented into.


    Serves as Delegation of Authority by building trusting relationships with the Specialty providers in the clinics RCI is implemented into based on vetted RCT Specialty Triage Tools with the VA specialty providers we collaborate.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Pay: $65 to $70 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday through Friday, no holidays.
