    Job Description

    The AECOM Transportation Business Line is actively seeking a highly motivated Deputy Department Manager CM/CEI. This position will be located in the Milwaukee office. The Deputy Department Manager will oversee a wide variety of highway and bridge projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Local clients. This position offers tremendous growth.

    The Wisconsin South Construction Leader will have a background in the Construction Management/Construction Engineering & Inspection (CM/CEI) industry for highway and bridge projects. They will directly oversee the CM/CEI staff and projects in the Southeast Region and the Southwest Region. They will provide strategic plan and delivery on key CM/CEI project needs and initiatives. Directly manage projects to ensure quality, schedules, and budgets are in accordance with AECOM policy. Given the tremendous growth potential, the Deputy Dept Manager will have the ability to hire, mentor, and expand the teams experience, client base and range. The Deputy Department Leader serves as the primary point of contact to the client and acts as a liaison between management and clients on multi-disciplined projects. In addition, the Deputy Department Manager will:

    • Prepare and deliver presentations required to win the work.

    • Recognize opportunities for strategic growth and build and lead teams to meet these opportunities.

    • Establish relationships with both internal and external clients including industry associations and other potential consultant teams and Local clients.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 6 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    • Due to nature of work, US citizenship is required.

    • Valid Driver License required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent.

    • Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.

    • 10+ years of WisDOT project and client management experience as well as proven success managing multiple concurrent projects.

    • Direct experience with employee supervision, management, and mentoring.

    • Daily travel may be required between the WisDOT SER and SWR.
