Job Description
Ideal candidate will have experience in Multi-specialty Practices
Triage all patients and document basic medical history, procedures and care provided
EHR Updates, Patient Registration
Assist during medical examinations, procedures and outpatient surgeries
Prepare and clean treatment rooms
Prepare procedure trays
Provide patients with instruction for their home care and send in prescriptions/lab orders
Autoclave medical instruments
Assist with patients’ photos for cosmetic procedures, Assist with numbing and prepping them for cosmetic procedures
Complete prior authorizations for medications
Return patient calls regarding questions, medications, home care instructions, prior authorizations, etc
Call patients regarding pathology and assist them in getting them scheduled for follow up treatments appropriately
Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms as needed for providers and patients.
Skills :
Proven work experience as a medical assistant - minimum 6 months required.
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures is preferred
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, be efficient and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Excellent bedside manner
Team player is a must!
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Pays attention to detail and is able to critically think
Ability to be flexible, reliable and available to work some Saturdays, if necessary
Degree in medical assistance - preferred.
