SUMMARY

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing team. This position will work with both internal and external customers to deliver high quality enclosures. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying, creating, and analyzing 3D drawings using SolidWorks and Draftsight.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify, create, and analyze 3D drawings
• Ensure designs comply with codes standards and specifications
• Collaborate with drafters and other engineers to develop and finalize drawings
• Assemble and notate drawings for production
• Utilize engineering knowledge to enhance design accuracy
• Review and modify designs based on feedback

REQUIREMENTS

• Structural Engineering degree preferred; mechanical or electrical degrees accepted. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
• Experience working with manufacturing teams to develop BOMs and address engineering challenges
• PE Stamps are a plus
• Proficiency in drafting software such as SolidWorks and Draftsight
• Strong understanding of design principles
• Experience in the emergency power a plus
• Ability to read 3D drawings.
• Ability to build and assemble complex customer requirements
• Potential need for travel to customer locations, both in and out of state
• Occasionally required to step onto manufacturing shop floor.
