    Key Responsibilities:

    Designs and specifies comprehensive electrical systems for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, encompassing equipment selection, transformer sizing, switchgear configuration, distribution panel layout, and protective device installation

    Ensures adherence to relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including local, state, and national requirements, such as the National Electric Code (NEC), UL and ADA guidelines

    Performs electrical calculations for EV charging infrastructure, encompassing load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and protective device coordination

    Creates detailed one-line diagrams and electrical plans for EV charging installations, accurately depicting all system components and interconnection

    Performs quality control checks on electrical designs and installations, ensuring adherence to project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes

    Coordinates with utilities to ensure seamless power delivery and manage energy supply to EV charging infrastructure

    Provide support on RFP proposals including design work, information and pricing support alongside of the Director

    Collaborate with RFP team and Grant team for design requirements

    Contributes to business growth through active participation in client meetings, technical presentations, and project proposal development

    Ensures proper electrical setup, commissioning and successful testing of DC Fast Chargers

    Review, update and maintain technical documents (specification sheets and manuals) for accuracy on EVSE equipment

    Ability to travel for site inspections and troubleshooting if needed. Approx travel requirement up to 25%

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on EV charging infrastructures or similar electrical systems required

    Familiarity with EV charging standards and protocols required (i.e., SAE J1772, CCS, and CHAdeMO)

    Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC), UL and ADA guidelines

    Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM Power Tools) and advanced knowledge of electrical calculations

    Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    Excellent reasoning ability and analytical skills to examine complex problems and propose innovative solutions

    Working Conditions: • This position is remote, with potential for travel. Approx. travel requirement up to 25%
