Job Description:
The Landscape Design/Sales Support role is a crucial part of our team, providing essential support to our landscape designer/sales who manage project estimates. This role involves assisting in the design process, preparing cost estimates on materials, labor and subcontractors, and ensuring data for the project is organized and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Assistance:
- Collaborate with landscape designers to help them with developing creative and functional landscape designs.
- Prepare the project file to include the property plot, local regulations such as setbacks and other public information that may be needed when considering the design.
- Research materials, plants, and other landscape elements to support design concepts.
Estimating Support:
- Gather and analyze data on materials, labor, subcontractors and equipment costs.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized project files and records.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Support the team with general administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in landscape design, estimating, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Excel and other software to keep projects organized.
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of landscape materials, plants, and construction techniques is preferred.
