Position Summary
Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure and application deployments across multiple environments. Automate build and release processes through scripting, and proactively monitor, report, and troubleshoot environmental failures. Conduct security and quality scans on infrastructure and applications, identifying and resolving network and compliance issues to ensure a robust and secure operational environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, ensuring environments are reproducible and consistent.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, BitBucket, or similar, to automate the deployment process.
- Containerization: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker, ECS, or similar technologies, ensuring consistent environments across development, testing, and production.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability. Implement appropriate alerting and incident response mechanisms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate new features and improvements into the production environment and customer teams to troubleshoot and debug issues.
- Security: Implement and manage security best practices within the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with AWS: Deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and more.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform or similar tools for managing cloud infrastructure.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools.
- CI/CD: Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Version Control: Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
