    SUMMARY

    The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support software development and operations. This role focuses on automation, scalability, and security, ensuring smooth and efficient development workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud platforms (Azure, and AWS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.

    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

    • Monitor system performance and automate alerts using tools like Azure Portal, Datadog, AWS CloudWatch.

    • Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM, role-based access controls, and encryption.

    • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.

    • Manage cloud resources efficiently, ensuring high availability and cost optimization.

    • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

    • Support disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud environments.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud and environments, ensuring high uptime and performance.

    Release & Deployment Management:

    • Define and manage release processes, versioning strategies, and rollback mechanisms to ensure seamless deployments.

    • Work with development and product teams to coordinate software releases and deployment schedules.

    • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place for cloud environments.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve release-related issues in cloud environments, ensuring high uptime and performance.

    • Develop deployment automation strategies to improve release speed and reduce manual intervention.

    • Implement progressive deployment techniques (e.g., blue-green, canary releases) for controlled software rollouts.

    • Document release processes and best practices to ensure transparency and consistency.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required (may be willing to substitute directly-applicable work experience in lieu of a four-year degree).
    • Minimal 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or software automation.
    • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure, and AWS.
    • Automation & IaC: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
    • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with Azure DevOps.
    • Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Azure Portal, Datadog, and/or AWS CloudWatch.
    • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Networking & Security: Understanding of VPCs, load balancers, VPNs, and cloud security best practices.
    • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer

    The US base pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a bonus tied to achieved results.
