DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Assistant supports the mission of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position (15-20 hours per week) will assist the Development Coordinator with administrative tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate data management and donor relations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain accurate donor records through data entry. • Prepare and send correspondence, reports, and acknowledgment letters for annual campaign gifts promptly and accurately. • Support event logistics and coordination for fundraising related events. • Prepare reports for accounting and development to enhance data management and streamline processes. • Assist in preparing and distributing materials for campaigns and events. • Maintain organized and timely documentation of all development activities. • Assist the Development Coordinator in various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the development department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in administrative roles, preferably in a nonprofit setting. • Strong data entry skills and proficiency with database management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Enthusiasm for the mission of the YMCA SouthCoast.
