Founded in 2009, the Chef Ann Foundation (CAF) believes that all children should have equal access to fresh, healthy, delicious food providing them the foundation to thrive and meet their true potential. We ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide cook-from-scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet. To date, we’ve reached over 16,000 schools and over 4.4 million children in all 50 states with our school food programming.
Job Description
The Development Associate reports to the Managing Director of Development. This position provides daily support to the entire Development team and is responsible for ongoing activities that help achieve annual fundraising goals. It is a great position for a highly organized self-starter with excellent communication, project management support, and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the entire Development team (including Catayltic Fund development, Individual Giving, Corporate Philanthropy, Foundation Grants, and Government Grants);
- Manage donor data and fundraising activities in Salesforce, GSuite platforms, and Asana, including data entry, reporting, and relationship management;
- Create and update spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets related to development activities and ongoing revenue tracking;
- Schedule meetings, coordinate logistics, and take meeting notes for the Development team;
- Prepare PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations as requested by the team;
- Strengthen the donor experience by preparing communications, updates, invitations, etc., as requested by the team;
- Support cultivation and stewardship plans to move all levels of donors through the donor lifecycle and pipeline;
- Prospect and research opportunities identified by the Development team or other CAF team members;
- Support writing and reporting grant applications as requested by the team;
- Manage the fundraising elements of the CAF website and other digital platforms that support CAF fundraising efforts (Global Giving, Giving Block, Classy, etc);
- Communicate with the Marketing team regularly to ensure that messaging is consistent with our development efforts;
- Provide support on all development events and other foundation events as requested;
- Assist in the development of strategic plans to meet operational goals;
- Supports other marketing, event planning, and development projects as needed;
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Position Requirements
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative support role;
- Outstanding proofreading and editing skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and GSuite platforms, especially on Mac OS;
- Ability to work virtually;
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
- Experience in marketing, specifically the use of Canva;
- Experience using project management platforms (CAF uses Asana);
- Experience preferred in Salesforce, Zoom, and Adobe;
- Located in Boulder, CO.

Compensation
Compensation ranges between $44,339 - $51,840 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work.
