About Community Care Development Network (CCDN): Founded in 2014, Community Care Development Network (CCDN) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and empowering families and communities in Jefferson County, Alabama. Overview of the Role: CCDN is seeking an experienced Development Director to work in conjunction with the Executive Director and Grant Writers to develop and execute a comprehensive financial sustainability and development plan. The Development Director will play a key role in securing funding to support CCDN’s mission and expanding its impact across Jefferson County. This is a contracted position with an annual salary starting at $65,000.
Scope of Work:
The Development Director will be responsible for leading and implementing strategies to achieve the organization’s fundraising goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Annual Fundraising Plan: Develop and execute CCDN’s annual fundraising plan to align with organizational objectives.
Donor Relations: Secure financial support from major donors, individuals, foundations, and corporations. Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors. Create and execute a strategy for building a large, sustained base of annual individual donors.
Grant Proposals and Reports: Collaborate with the grant writing team to develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising initiatives.
Data Management: Oversee the implementation and use of donor management software. Ensure accurate data entry and efficient gift processing.
Special Events: Plan, organize, and oversee fundraising events to enhance donor engagement and generate revenue.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director to align fundraising strategies with CCDN’s mission and vision.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in development, with a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising.
Skills: Proficiency in donor management software. Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to secure funding from diverse sources, including major donors, foundations, and corporations.
Contract Terms: Contracted position with an annual salary starting at $65,000.The initial contract will last one year, with potential renewal based on performance and organizational needs.
