Job Description : This Development Intern will be responsible for supporting one of the three Senior Directors and National Fundraisers with his day-to-day operations and tasks. This internship is a high-performance, execution-focused role responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Senior Director.
We are looking for a candidate who can begin as soon as possible and work through mid-August. This internship will present the potential opportunity for the selected candidate to acquire full-time employment on the Development team once the internship has concluded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the Senior Director's calendar;
- Scheduling phone calls and meetings as requested by the Senior Director in a timely and efficient manner;
- Assisting the Senior Director with expense tracking and management;
- Assisting the Senior Director with donor management which will include tasks such as (but not be limited to):
- Conduct high-level donor research to assist the Senior Director in identifying high-net-worth individuals, strategic targets, and funding opportunities;
- Prepare materials as needed and requested by the Senior Director to distribute to donors;
- Frequent collaboration with other departments within the Development team to generate donor documents and send event emails;
- Ensure the upkeep of donor accounts within the CRM.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Elite organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and competing deadlines.
- Flawless written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- Strong commitment to TPUSA's mission and principles.
- Excel and be willing to work in a high-stress environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM systems (Virtuous, Salesforce, or similar) and data reporting.
- Background in donor management.
- Prior experience in supporting Director and/or Executive level leadership.
