    The Franciscan Renewal Center, a U.S., 501(c)3 nonprofit and sponsored ministry of the Franciscan Province of Saint Barbara, seeks a Development Manager. This position is a critical addition to our dynamic team. The manager works proactively and collaboratively within the Development Team to help shape and execute our fundraising strategy, engage donors and donor prospects, and support the Franciscan Renewal Center’s mission of providing opportunities for spiritual growth, healing and transformation, and service to others. This position is responsible for strengthening relationships, boldly growing engagement, and connecting people to the mission of the Franciscan Renewal Center to support the annual development revenue goals. The position builds rapport and trust with a diverse range of people while identifying new opportunities and integrating effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) techniques into all plan levels, proposals and reports, and prepared materials. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Development Director and working in close coordination with program leads, the Development Manager will: • Manage a portfolio of 250 constituents comprised of donors, and local and business leaders to cultivate, steward relationships and solicit gifts. • Develop and implement strategies to connect people to the mission. • Capture and document relationship activities, constituent affinity, and other pertinent information in the donor database. • Maintain current and accurate records of all constituents in accordance with best practices. • Stay current on industry best practices in fundraising and donor engagement. • Coordinate the monthly Discover the Vision Tour and processes. • Collaborate with the Development team toward the success of campaigns and annual appeal. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: • Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with donors. • Experience in donor cultivation, including securing gifts and ongoing donor engagement. • Minimum of 5 years of fundraising or similar experience. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of people. • Demonstrate a respect for and sensitivity to diverse cultures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software. • Ability to work occasional nights and two Sundays a month. • Work is on-site full-time, being available for in-person interactions. Preferred Qualifications: • Active practicing Roman Catholic. • Bachelor’s degree. • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of the Catholic faith and to serve as a committed witness to its mission. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
