Location: Washington, DC Schedule: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night) Pay Rate: $55–$58 per hour Licensure Requirement: Active DC RN license required
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Washington, DC. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse with recent dialysis experience, who is comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dialysis care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform dialysis treatments following established protocols and patient care standards.
Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment to assess for complications.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, home care, and treatment goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatments.
Ensure infection control and safety measures are followed at all times.
Schedule & On-Call Requirements:
Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).
On-Call: A minimum of 5 overnight on-call shifts per month, including 1–2 weekend 24-hour on-call shifts. On-call staff will be utilized first as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent dialysis experience required. Pediatric dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
Licensure: Active DC RN license required before the start date.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required
