    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The Dialysis RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, monitoring treatment, educating patients and their families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Assessment & Monitoring:

    Assess patient conditions before, during, and after dialysis treatment.

    Monitor vital signs and recognize any complications or adverse reactions.

    Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.

    Dialysis Treatment & Procedures:

    Operate and monitor dialysis machines in accordance with safety guidelines.

    Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments while ensuring patient comfort.

    Administer medications as prescribed and manage fluid balances.

    Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.

    Patient Education & Support:

    Educate patients and caregivers on dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and home care.

    Provide emotional support and address patient concerns with empathy.

    Promote adherence to prescribed treatment plans and lifestyle changes.

    Team Collaboration & Compliance:

    Work closely with nephrologists, technicians, dietitians, and social workers to optimize patient care.

    Ensure compliance with hospital policies, dialysis regulations, and infection control standards.

    Participate in staff training, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

    License & Certification:

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

    BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

    Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or Dialysis (CDN) is a plus.

    Experience:

    Previous experience in dialysis, nephrology, or critical care nursing preferred.

    Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, IV therapy, and infection control.

    Key Skills:

    Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies effectively.

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

    Work Environment:

    Hospital, outpatient dialysis centers, or home dialysis settings.

    Shift-based schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.

    Physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, and assisting patients.
