    We are actively seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Bossier City, Louisiana that would be responsible for overall maintenance of the company fleet and equipment assets as described below:

    Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations

    Performs equipment repairs in response to maintenance requests, in shop or in field locations

    Repairs equipment, removing/replacing components

    Uses diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify and correct equipment faults

    Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic analyses and diagnoses

    Operates shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors, presses, grinders, heavy hand tools, and tire servicing equipment

    Lifts, moves and/or installs heavy parts and assemblies safely, using basic tooling and PPE

    Assists other mechanics and members of the team as required

    A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

    Technical School certification preferred

    Experience with 3/4 ton up to 18-wheelers, as well as excavators, dozers, etc.

    Able to obtain a Chauffeur's License or Class "C" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within 90 days of employment

    Able to pass and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record

    Knowledge and proper use of special tools / equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory

    Must know theory and principles of engine operations and accessories and components

    Demonstrated ability to follow through on instruction, work with minimal supervision, use required computer/telephone applications

    Excellent communication skills

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls

    Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Also includes occasionally working outdoors in elements/weather.

    Work Schedule

    5 days per week, Monday - Friday

    6:00 am - 4:30 pm

    Rotating weekends on-call
