Under the supervision of the Dietary Director and in his/her absence the Food Production Supervisor the Cook prepares and serves food for Facility residents, staff and families or guests under safe and sanitary conditions, to include food for special functions. The Cook follows guidelines for portion control and meal service schedules. The Cook is responsible for maintaining order in specific areas as directed by the Dietary Director/and or the Food Production Supervisor. The Cook is responsible for all other kitchen functions such as assembling resident trays, operating dish room, cleaning all Food and Nutrition services equipment and work areas.

Pay: Up to $18hr (including shift differentials)
Hours: 8 hour shifts, every other weekend off

Must be 21 years or older in age.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of food preparation, cooking and principles of sanitation and safety required.
Minimum of 2 years of supervision or dietary leadership required.
SERV Safe Certification - National Restaurant Association, Educational Foundation
Thompson Prometric - Certified Professional Food Manager
National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, Food Safety Manager Certification
If not certified, must provide at time of hire receipt/confirmation of scheduled class/testing for certification from one of the above listed institutions and become certified by one of the above institutions within (90) days of date of hire.
