We are seeking a dedicated professional to help us develop and implement a comprehensive lifestyle approach to health for our clients. Our clients come to us for musculoskeletal, neurological and vestibular disorders, but underlying the reason they are seeking care from us are metabolic, cardiovascular and other lifestyle related issues.
Responsibilities:
Counsel patients concerning health management regimens.
Prepare, conduct and coordinate health education presentations and programs.
Maintain health education resource materials and evaluate their effectiveness.
Assists with the preparation of health education publications.
Perform nutritional assessments.
Educate and advise a wide range of patients with dietary-related disorders on the practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healthier eating methods.
Document patient's information in their chart after assessment and counseling.
Confer with doctors and other healthcare professionals in order to coordinate medical and nutritional needs.
Plan, develop and manage projects and programs.
Facilitate group sessions on diabetes
Create and establish methods of tracking and evaluating achievement of nutrition education objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Nutritionist certification.
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for educating and empowering others.
Experience in a clinical or wellness setting is a plus, especially chronic disease management.
