Role: Professional will collaborate with the marketing team members and colleagues in other school departments to develop and implement a strategic unified plan for all Academics West communications and branding, including social media, website, print, and outreach to various stakeholders and constituencies. The marketing campaign focus is to enhance brand recognition, increase website traffic, and acquire new students. The ideal candidate will be both a big-picture strategic and creative thinker and task oriented willing to take on large and small tasks to achieve goals. This unique individual will report to the Chief Strategy and Development Officer.
Responsibilities:
Drafting and pitching social media content to the Founders and Chief Strategy and Development Officer
Executing social media content
Develop, pitch and execute email & SMS campaigns
Assist with creation of school leadership presentations and workshops at conferences, etc.
Collaborate with marketing, admissions, and school administrators to create engaging content on all platforms
Oversee website updates and social media channels to boost web traffic and respond to direct message as needed
Manage relationship with website consultant to ensure website content is up-to-date, accurate and ensure a positive user experience
Manage reputation through reviews and feedback on platforms like Indeed, Niche, Privateschoolreview, Glass Door, and Google.
Managing the organization’s brand identity by communicating with internal and external parties and ensuring the integrity and consistency of the brand is reflected across all public-facing materials
Liaise with the organization’s Development, Admissions, Outreach, Alumni Affairs, and other departments to support communication needs.
Crafting and executing email marketing campaigns that drive engagement and generate leads
Assisting with strategic development for SEO campaigns, starting from kick-off and extending thru post-launch and analysis stages
Assist with website technical audits to identify areas of concern from an SEO perspective
Monitor competitors' and industry based digital marketing activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and implement innovative strategies to enhance performance
Execute pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and content marketing as needed.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to optimize campaign performance and ROI.
Capture photography and videography, edit and customize for social media, the website, and in-house materials.
Attend program events and photo and video shoots to provide in-house photography needs and production assistance.
Provide design assistance for marketing materials such as brochures, banners, infographics, and other visual assets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or a related field.
Portfolio of writing/content examples.
Experience developing short- and long-term communication strategies
5-7 years of marketing experience. Proven experience as a content manager, copywriter, editor, or a similar role.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
An ability to write creative copy for both large pieces of content (e.g. product descriptions, website pages) and smaller texts (e.g. social media posts)
Strong knowledge of content marketing; understanding of SEO and web/traffic analytics.
Proficient in using social media platforms, Microsoft Office, and other content/publishing tools.
Growing technical knowledge, including WordPress, HTML, SEO/SEM, CRM, Google analytics and search platforms, content management solutions, email marketing and automation, and analytical software
Knowledge of graphic design, basic video/audio production, website management, and related software such as Squarespace, Canva, Adobe suite, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Works well with others as a team player and adapts to feedback
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Solid time-management skills and project management experience desired
Experience in project management is a plus
Proven work experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or Digital Marketing Manager
