POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Media Manager is responsible for leading, planning, publishing, and updating content and features on our church website and social media platforms and managing all digital media. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strategic thinking. The Digital Media Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must align with the beliefs, values, and mission of First Baptist Atlanta
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, or related study
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital media
- Must be an effective manager of individual employees and teams
- Must be adept at oral and written communication
- Must be accessible at all times for addressing emergencies that may arise
- Must be proficient with programs in the Adobe suite and Social and Digital Media platforms
- Must possess robust copywriting and editing skills
- Must possess strong time management skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan, execute, and manage all digital marketing media for First Baptist Atlanta, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media
- Establish and execute a digital marketing strategy to distribute content
- Maintain First Baptist Atlanta’s digital presence
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across all social channels
- Identify, analyze, and measure trends and content to assess how well it’s performing and optimize user experience
- Create and maintain an editorial calendar to deliver targeted content
- Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
- Remain up to date on the latest social media trends, and implement them in First Baptist Atlanta’s marketing campaigns
- Oversees live chat and manages a team of volunteers who interact with online viewers
- Manages all content updates for the church website
- Whatever it takes
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Explores and pursues professional associations and networks among other churches and ministries for collaborative enrichment in all areas pertinent to effective Great Commission ministries through the local church
- Tithes income to the church
