Job Description
NBC Chicago and Telemundo Chicago are looking for a metrics-and-audience-focused digital video producer and editor to create, edit and strategically post videos across digital, OTT and social platforms. We are looking for a driven candidate with proven ability to create videos that are relevant, shareable and attract a captivated, growing and returning audience. Our ideal candidate is someone with a video-content vision and competitive edge who can collaborate with team members to develop strategic best practices based on audience learnings per platform.
The ideal candidate has worked in news and will feel comfortable working simultaneously on multiple pieces of content across platforms for both of our brands, while maintaining brand identity. This editor/producer will partner and collaborate with other digital video editors and content producers on the team to learn our audiences and quickly grow them.
The right candidate should be enthusiastically curious about industry trends regarding video creation and associated revenue, understand the power of breaking news, and love editing, pitching concepts and finding innovative ways to tell stories. They should be a digital video consumer across platforms, have excellent people skills and team orientation, be willing to try new things, and be comfortable working on in-depth investigations or quirky viral talker stories of the day. We are looking for a self-starter who always wants to create video and drive to next big thing. Our ideal candidate can pitch a concept, produce, edit and deliver, and be passionate about every step of the process.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
