    Job Summary We are seeking a Line Cook for our dinner shifts to join the team at our Greek restaurant. In this position, you will be responsible for prepping for the shift, fulfilling orders sent to the kitchen and working as an important piece of the team at Acropolis. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent experience for patrons. If you have a passion for creating meals that “wow,” we want to hear from you. This is a fun job for sure and you are working in an open kitchen which means the kitchen is in the front not designed in the back with no windows. Weekends are an important part of our business so please have weekend availability. Come check us out for yourself. We are a mom-and-pop place that loves what we do.

    As far as salary, we compensate well for the position with your experience. The more experience you have is the key component. We reward people who have great attendance records and are punctual and serious about their employment. The owner is a chef and is in the kitchen a great deal so he takes care of his teams. It is an enjoyable place to work with great pay for the right person.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    Set up the kitchen for service

    Prepare food and present it when orders come in

    Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary

    Follow all food safety regulations

    Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures

    Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience in a similar role at a Greek/Italian/Mediterranean Restaurant

    Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes

    Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure

    Excellent time management skills

    Excellent history in attendance

    This line cook position is a full time position ranging from 35-40 per week.
