Our growing auto body shop seeks a mechanic to join our talented team of auto mechanics and service technicians. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assessing vehicle components ranging from electronic systems to air conditioning units. Responsibilities: • Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work • Source and remediate mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's mechanical systems, electrical system, and electronic systems • Creating estimates for auto repair work and their respective timelines for sharing with customers • Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more Qualifications: • Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed • A valid driver’s license is necessary • Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus • High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary • Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic Compensation: 55500- 96000 yearly
